Overview on Starseeds -part 1-

For more information that I've gleaned from some books: NOTE, I'M NOT SAYING THAT I AM RIGHT OR WRONG, THIS IS WHAT INFORMATION I HAVE GATHERED. Starseeds are beings that (believe in/believe to be apart of) a 'one soul' that all souls came from. This soul fragmented, so that the pieces could experience all there was to experience, so that some day all the souls would come back together enriched and all-knowing to return to tell the creator all of their stories. The fragments made the things in the universe, making some order out of the darkness and chaos. They organized into families, each one contributing something to civilizations. They f

Re: Therian_Otherkin As False?

I suppose it depend on which view one takes on the phenomenon.  The reaction from a person who takes therianthropy or otherkin from a spiritual perspective will be drastically different than one who takes it from a psychological perspective.  Either way though it could never be proven nor disproved.  However for the sake of the argument lets say that it could be disproved. From the Spiritual Perspective Quite frankly, I don't know how one would go about attempting to disprove spirituality.  However if science could disprove it, they would have to disprove two things: the existence of the soul and the

Fiction

My knee-jerk reaction to fiction-kin has always been, "Aww, HELL naw!" My private opinion has always been that most (if not all) fiction-kin give the rest of us bad publicity, something we can manage just fine on our own (Thank you). However, once or twice, one has given me pause to think, and made me consider that perhaps I should be less judgmental on the matter. Today, I'm not going to talk about any of that. Today, I'm going to examine some common 'arguments' for fictionkin, and evaluate them (albiet a little rudely). Argument #1: Fiction-kin are no different than otherkin! They're both fictional animals/beings! Typically, I simply ch

Re: Psychological Stigma?

Therianthropy is a big mystery to begin with. Let's face it, this "condition" if I may call it that, is very hard to prove or disprove, but could it be psychological? Yes. There is a very big possibility there. I consider myself to be on the more spiritual side of things when it comes to my own experiences with therianthropy, but I am willing to accept that this whole thing may be psychological as well. I really don't see a problem with it being viewed in that light. The truth of the matter is, is that the human mind is like a complex puzzle, one that we don't fully understand yet. Who is to say that therianthropy isn't a result of some sor

Openness on Therianthropy

I'm a little mixed when it comes to my openness about therianthropy. On the one hand, I'm proud to be a therian and am not ashamed to admit to it, however, there are times where I feel awkward with expressing my therianess and I almost suppress it for a while as a result. For the most part with me, it really depends on closeness and openness of the people I interact with who I express my therianthropy to. Most of my close friends know that I am a therian, but not all of them accept it. I feel a little more at ease expressing my animal side to the friends who do accept me as I am, seeing as they have seen it for years anyway. To those who ar

Re: What is Fluff?

So recently I had an encounter with a person online who commented on another writing dealing with therianthropy.  There were little red flags all over her post but I figured I'd give her the benefit of the doubt.  I noted her back as she asked.  I tried to have a decent conversation with her about therianthropy.  But it didn't take too long before I realized that those little red flags I got from her initial post were actually gigantic red flags.  Regardless of the ideas I shared with her, the websites I pointed her to, the questions I asked her she was relentless in her idea that her "reality" was right and that I and everyone else that ques
